of raw material grades available from mainstream materials
manufacturers we took it upon ourselves years ago to develop
proprietary raw materials specifically suited for virtually every
cold forming application. To insure raw materials quality, we don't
rely on manufacturers' material certifications. The only way to
insure raw materials quality is to perform in-house inspection
including tests for hardness, density along with the metallographic
determination of microstructure of all incoming materials. To
accomplish this Oliphant Tool Company operates an on-site
metallurgical inspection facility to guarantee material conforms to
required specifications.
